We’re proud to share that Vladimir Marinov, RF Engineer at EECL, recently presented our highly integrated W-Band up/down frequency converter at the ARMMS RF & Microwave Society Conference.

The presentation showcased a compact, innovative module designed to extend K-band test equipment into the W-band range—perfect for applications like automotive radar, VNA extenders, and advanced mmWave communications.

Highlights from the Design:

  • Coherent Up/Down Conversion with shared LO for phase-sensitive measurements
  • Built-in Self-Test (BIST) with internal loopback and power detection
  • Compact form factor: just 75 × 75 × 16 mm, consuming 5.8 W
  • Optimised for production-line testing, especially in automotive radar
  • Supports use with standard K-band equipment—no need for costly infrastructure upgrades

This converter is part of EECL’s growing suite of commercial, ready-to-deploy test solutions, built to meet the needs of cutting-edge RF development and manufacturing.
